It's Definitely Pirates
Tucked deep inside the dank caverns of the Sastasha Seagrot, there is a secret port said to have been built by the pirate Mistbeard. In the years following the Calamity, the notorious Serpent Reavers claimed it as their lair, until the cutthroats were vanquished by a band of dauntless adventurers. The place subsequently came under the control of Lominsan authorities, who maintained a security presence within. Alas, that control did not last, for an unknown faction has arisen─seemingly from the briny depths─and overwhelmed the occupying Yellowjackets. Opinion is divided over the identity of these foes. Some say that they are pirates, while others swear that they are fiends. Yet it does not take a scholar to see that these two things need not be mutually exclusive.
Karlabos will drop Aqua Balls on players, causing a damage-over-time debuff called Slime. The debuff should be removed immediately using Esuna. Karlabos will also target the party member with the highest enmity and apply the Prey effect to them. After a few seconds, Karlabos will stun the player with Prey. The Prey effect can be passed to other players by physically running into them, causing them to be stunned instead. Karlabos's next attack, Tail Screw, will be used on a player who is not the tank. Tail Screw will reduce the player's HP to 1%, but will not kill them unless they have the Slime debuff. Tail Screw can be stunned, so it is recommended for the tank to pass Prey to a DPS player before being stunned, allowing them to immediately stun Tail Screw. It is important to note that the Aqua Balls that apply Slime can overlap, leading to multiple Slime debuffs on players. To prevent this, players should avoid standing too close to each other. If necessary, the healer may need to remove Slime multiple times from a single party member before the Tail Screw attack. Additionally, it is crucial to prioritize keeping the tank's health high once the Slime debuff is under control. In summary, the healer's priorities are to remove the Slime debuff from all players before the Tail Screw attack, maintain the tank's health, and then attend to the health of the other party members.
In order to defeat Captain Madison, it is important to quickly eliminate the weak adds that spawn. After charging and knocking back a player, Captain Madison will target a random player and continuously shoot at them with his gun until sufficient damage is dealt. It is crucial to note that he cannot be stunned while firing. When Captain Madison's health is very low, he will summon a group of adds and retreat. For the third set and final set of adds, players should gather in the center of the boss room and use area-of-effect attacks to defeat them. If necessary, the caster Limit Break should be utilized on the third set. It is advised to focus all DPS on Captain Madison immediately after he charges someone and starts shooting, as he will continue shooting until enough damage is inflicted.
When facing the Kraken, there are different strategies to follow based on which body parts are active. If only the Kraken and Tentacles are up, the focus should be on attacking the Kraken while ignoring the Tentacles. When the Kraken, Tentacles, and Kraken's Arms are all active, it is best to prioritize killing the Kraken's Arms while still ignoring the Tentacles. If the Kraken and six Kraken's Arms are active, the main objective is simply to survive. In this case, it is recommended to attack both the Kraken and Kraken's Arms, while still ignoring the Tentacles. It is not necessary to dodge the AOE attacks from the Ink Jet, as healers can remove the Blind effect before continuing with their normal healing duties. An alternative method involves players selecting an Arm that is close to the boss and in a corner, then focusing on killing that Arm. Ranged DPS players should position themselves near the hole, out of reach of other Arms, and focus their damage on the head of the Kraken.
